The Fiery Angel, a fascinating operatic tale about the knight Ruprecht and a devil-possessed young woman Renata, is historicaly the first production of Prokofiev’s famous work in the Czech Republic in its Russian original. This work is performed very rarely for its vocal as well as musical demands even in the world context.
The Fiery Angel premiered in Ostrava during February 2015 and it was quickly ranked among the highlights of the opera season in the last year.
